CFFFS’s Vision Statement

To provide opportunity and support for homeless, recovering people (mental affliction and/or physical addiction), and other marginalized or needy groups in Canada; we accomplish this via donated potted plants and cut flowers.

TJ

In 2005 TJ inspired CFFFS as one of the original members offering flowers for change Friday afternoons in Vancouver.

Since then TJ has moved from living in cardboard boxes to living in a tent (which got stolen repeatedly or confiscated by the city).

About one year after working with CFFFS TJ was able to move into a SRO (single room occupancy) not far from his corner. And soon after that he was able to move into the Granville Residence (low-income housing) where he is living now.

Within the time on our program I have seen TJ since off of the welfare system (once) and I have noticed (along with all his regular supporters) that he now takes a lot more pride in his grooming and appearance.

I have been to his home once or twice and he now has a microwave and television to call his own. And I am sure things will continue to get better for him thanks to the generosity of our floral suppliers and your support.
